ILP "Design" - MyStorybook.com

Hello friends! Today I'm going to introduce my first Personal Learning Network. I decided to begin with the Design option so that I could become more aware with some creative tools on the internet. On the website that I chose (mystorybook.com), students and teachers can work together to create a storybook. You can use tools provided within the website to make your story come to life in a free, easy manner. I particularly enjoyed this tool because I thought it was really sweet that it is a free to use tool that can make the stories from a child's imagination come to life before them. This was something that really excited me as a child and that I hope will continue to excite me and my students as time goes on. There are many ways you can use this tool, but for my product I created an About Me type book. I thought this could have been a fun activity to use in a classroom for the beginning of the year when students are getting to know each other. I went through the book and added pictures from the website's selection, as well as personalized the fonts and sizes and backgrounds as I went along. This makes it really easy to tell your own story. I basically went through the book stating fun facts about myself, with pictures along side it to help my story. Overall, this has been a really great experience.
