Hi friends! Today I’m gonna talk about Diigo, PowerPoint and Professional Development. First, I have learned so much from using the Diigo tool. I was only introduced to it through this class, and it has helped me so much. I think it could be useful in the classroom in several ways, especially in older grades. It could be useful for students in their research and used in assignments for reading comprehension. I think it could also be useful to help students share their thoughts and readings with the class. For fellow teachers, it may also be helpful to share things like lesson plans and other advice and teacher tools as well. Individually, you can keep track of everything that’s going on in the classroom, as well as formulate thoughts and lessons. We also briefly discussed Bloom’s Taxonomy and how it may relate to our own use of PowerPoint in our educational careers. Hello friends! Today I am going to talk about my second Personal Learning Network. I chose to use the LinkedIn Learning tool because the information is so versatile and you could find information on almost everything the heart desires. I also liked how the information was organized and categorized, and they have lessons for people with varying abilities (from beginner all the way to expert). The site was incredibly easy to use and the assignments were fulfilling and interesting. As a result of me taking a course on developing a learning mindset, I definitely view learning in a more positive manner and hope that it will help guide me in my learning, even when I may feel a bit lost. I also think it will help me teach in my career to help students become better learners. I think that this can be such a useful tool for everyone! Given that there is so much to choose from, it feels like you can learn almost anything. I will certainly continue using this source to gain knowledge in my field...

Hello fellow bloggers! This week was very interesting to learn outside of the classroom. It was very cool seeing what was happening over at the AECT conference in Las Vegas. This week, I will be talking about Twitter, Web Design and and assistive technologies within the classroom. Firstly, I want to reflect on my experience using Twitter in our EME2040 class. I have a lot of history with Twitter, it is in fact my favorite social media site. This is, however, my first time using it in context with a class I am taking. I like how easily it connects me to my classmates, as well as other educators and experts in the educational technology field. I personally only used Twitter beforehand for recreation, so it is fun to actually use it as a means of connection with other people on the same path as I am. Hi EME2040 friends! This week was so interesting in our class, meaning that there is so much to talk about. Firstly, I looked a lot into some teacher websites. In my home school district of Palm Beach County, teachers do not have individual webpages that are visible to people who do not have accounts and are not students or parents. Because of this, I turned to Leon County Schools, right here in the Tallahassee area. I stumbled upon Kate Sullivan Elementary School and found a teacher who is teaching within my preferred age range of between Kindergarten and 3rd Grade. https://www.leonschools.net/Domain/3446 I reviewed this class of First Graders. Hi EME2040 friends! What a great week it has been in this wonderful class. This week, we all got to tour the tech sandbox, which was very insightful and entertaining. What is one tool that you guys hope to use in your future classrooms? I personally hope to have access to a SmartBoard or even the coding tools. Last week, we were introduced to a tool called Diigo. Diigo is a tool that lets you bookmark and annotate web pages to share with peers for use in discussion and personal development. So far, I really like the tool! I think it can be so useful for teachers to use together in finding sources to help develop a better education to give students. I have it downloaded on my personal computer, and the only real thing that I dislike is that it is a little distracting when I use my computer for personal use. Hello friends! It has been a great and informative week in our EME2040 class. I'm so excited to talk about some of the concepts, right now. To begin, I'm just gonna talk a bit about good ol' twitter. I actually have my own personal twitter that I use outside of class that has been active since 2015. Like the nerd that I am, I started it to keep tabs on all my favorite celebrities, especially those in the then new Star Wars sequel trilogy. Twitter seemed to be the first place to gain the next big information for what was going on in Hollywood at the time, so I joined without any doubts. Now, I continue to form online bonds with other fans of the same things and people that I enjoy, as well as give updates to people from home through my page.
